Shoe Station Hosts United Way Day Fundraiser June 9
Shoe Station is hosting its first-annual United Way Day Fundraiser June 9, 2018 in its twenty locations across the Southeast. The retail chain is donating one dollar for every pair of shoes, sandals, and boots sold. United Way locations in Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia will be the beneficiaries of this fundraiser. The format of the fundraiser ensures that Shoe Station's donation will increase with each pair sold, and there is no cap on the donation. Customers will also be given the opportunity to make an additional donation to United Way. "We are pleased to sponsor this large fundraising effort for United Way organizations in five states," said Shoe Station President and CEO Brent Barkin.
United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advanvce the common good.
Shoe Station is one of the nation’s largest shoe retailers. It is a family-owned chain founded in 1984 in Mobile, Alabama. It is a long-time contributor to United Way of Southwest Alabama.
