Ladies of Labor 3rd Annual Autumn Happy Hour

The Ladies of Labor will host the 3rd Annual Autumn Happy Hour on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:15 to 7:15PM at Firehouse Wine Bar & Shop. We will be once again celebrating women in the labor movement whether they be union members themselves or spouses, family members, and/or friends of a union member. We will also celebrate the contributions that all women make to our community.

DYK - For the vast majority of seniors living outside of nursing homes, Medicare does not pay for adult diapers nor do any of the other governmental assistance programs. For homeless the issue is even more complicated, especially for women. Adult diapers are usually not the first thing you think about when donating to the homeless. However, conflicts around when and where “to go” are part of the homeless's daily struggle.  Adult diapers provide homeless women needed sanitation, safety, and dignity when they need it the most.

For the LoL Autumn Happy Hour Admission is a donation of a women's adult incontinent product (adult diapers) that will be given to the United Way of Southwest Alabama Women United Diaper Drive. All the donations collected from the drives will be equally divided between the partner agencies that have clients that use them.
