Let's celebrate the Labor that built this great land - From Field to Field, Desk to Desk, they built it Hand in Hand. Join us as we celebrate working people. As always the Southwest Alabama Labor Council will lead the procession of organizations representing working people in organized labor through the downtown area. Rolls of local, union made paper products from Kimberly-Clark and other goodies will fly through the air from over 2,000 marchers to parade goers.

PARADE ROUTE: From the Civic Center parking lot the parade goes down Civic Center Drive to Government Street to Royal Street to St. Francis around Bienville Square to Conception to Government back to Civic Center Drive and ends at the Civic Center. For more information call 251.431.0101 or email lschraeder@uwswa.org.

The Labor Day Parade is to celebrate the achievements of America’s working people. In the spirit of the holiday, the parade honors the everyday people of Southwest Alabama who not only work hard to provide a better life for their families and keep our communities strong, but who also are driving local and national movements to build a stronger economy based on worker values.
